Project Description

Located in Pasadena, California, Huntington Memorial Hospital is a critical Level II trauma facility serving the San Gabriel Valley. To meet OSHPD seismic safety requirements and ensure continued high-quality care, the hospital is undergoing structural SPC-2 seismic retrofits and ADA upgrades to the Wingate and Hahn buildings as part of a broader compliance initiative.

This complex project includes the decommissioning of non-compliant adjacent structures and the separation of all electrical systems between the Wingate and Hahn buildings. Key electrical upgrades involve the abandonment of existing systems, construction of two new electrical rooms, installation of new 5KV, 480V, and 208V feeders, a new switchgear package, and a comprehensive fixture package. Interior improvements include the reconfiguration of restrooms, offices, and corridors to align with ADA standards and enhance functionality.

These capital improvements are essential to supporting the hospital’s long-term growth and ensuring regulatory compliance, while reinforcing its commitment to serving the expanding needs of the community.
