As part of the landmark Palomar Medical Center Escondido campus, this project involved the installation of conduit, wire, and terminations for the hospital’s sophisticated HVAC control system. The 740,000-square-foot, 11-story facility—opened in 2012 and accredited by The Joint Commission—features 288 private patient rooms, 44 emergency and trauma rooms, and 11 operating rooms.
Developed on a 56-acre site, Phase I of the project included utility planning, a new central utility plant, and infrastructure for a future medical office building. Emphasizing sustainability and energy efficiency, the hospital utilizes a high-performance building management system with advanced HVAC design, supporting LEED-consistent goals. The facility integrates natural light, outdoor access, and calming views to enhance patient recovery and overall wellness for the North San Diego County community.
