Baker Electric developed, designed, installed, and managed the performance of an energy-efficient retrofit of all exterior lighting. The retrofit included parking lots, two parking structures, roads, and walkways at California State University San Bernardino and Palm Desert Campuses. This project spanned approximately 384,000 SF.
This lighting improvement was for a large hanger complex at San Bernardino International Airport. The project required coordination with the tenant, as Baker worked around planned aircraft maintenance schedules and at elevated heights (75+ feet). The project also included the demolition and removal of existing High Bay fixtures as well as the installation of new High Bay fixtures, new conduit and wiring, and new lighting control panels.
For this $1.2 million energy efficiency project within the Customs and Border Protection Facility, DHS turned to SDG&E and Baker Electric to move forward on an energy savings performance contract for four sites within the region. The project included upgrades to new interior and exterior LED lights and lighting controls. All LED fixtures replaced required T24 testing and commissioning as well.
