This project consists of a complete 49.5 MW Peaker Generating Station, based upon GE LM 6000 "New Generation" natural gas fueled turbine. It includes a 12 kV distribution equipment which was interconnected through a 69 kV switchyard and connected to the local power grid.
The $30,000,000, central plant project was constructed in a 24/7 airport environment. It includes four 1.75 MW natural gas-fired internal generators and a 12kV feed from McArthur Boulevard.
This LEED Platinum Certified project included a 1.5 MW solar energy system for the three 4-story BEQ’s (576 two-person rooms), a landmark projection tower, a 500-seat outdoor amphitheater, and a 706-space 4-story parking garage. This project is a Design-Assist project that contained a high degree of technical and logistical challenges. Baker used BIM and prefabrication to its fullest on this project. The project also had multiple phasing and was adjacent to occupied buildings.
The project is a $45,000,000 central plant facility upgrade. It includes installing nearly 41 miles of new electrical wiring to furnish a 4.167 kW electrical distribution system, two 5 megawatt solar turbine generators, a complete SCADA control system and a continuous emissions monitoring system.
This project was a 45,000 SF office and data center for the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. The STIC facility will provide new wireless communications for the various Sheriff's divisions
