Baker Electric participated in the first SDGE EV pilot program run from late 2017 through 2018. Throughout this time, Baker installed over 800 nozzles making up more than 30% of the total program. These projects were performed for both public and private agencies including but not limited to; cities, airports, schools, healthcare buildings, condominiums, and business parks.

Project Description

The system consists of: Installation of six Owner provided power boxes and two cooling boxes required for the DC charging system. Installation of twelve Owner provided 350 kW DC charging units. Installation of one Owner provided low voltage Switchgear Lineup. Two Owner provided Rectifier Transformers and one Unitized Substation Transformer. Installation of twelve Owner provided 1932 kW and one 9.6 kW AC user units SCE conductor infrastructure and equipment pads.

Project Description

The 73,000 SF facility serves as an activity hub that provides amenities for the everyday life of students and faculty. Common goals throughout the project included interactive education and environmental sustainability, to enhance user options and convenience, and space transformation and flexibility. This Commons area included two cafeterias, a campus bookstore, student lounge spaces, and more.
