Energy Storage keeps a large amount of electric energy stored in reserve. The lithium ion batteries charge at night and are selectively released at peaks times during the day in order to limit rate spikes at a facility.

Storage avoids demand spikes to cap demand charges.

As building demands begin to spike, load controllers trigger a rapid power discharge to offset the spike, resulting in a capped demand.

Solar PV offsets your energy charges but not your demand charges.

Combine Energy Storage with solar PV and it allows your business to save on both energy and demand charges.

In addition to these savings you get triple the incentives for your business. You receive the Investment Tax Credit for both solar and storage, plus the SGIP rebate for storage.
